The turquoise waters of Bali are known for their beauty, but for our group, they became an epic stage. Our latest underwater modeling adventure took us from the vibrant reefs of Tulamben to the serene rice paddies of Ubud, creating a trip filled with stunning visuals, personal growth, and unforgettable memories. This trip was one of our most rewarding yet, and we can’t wait to share the incredible photos and experiences from our time in paradise.
Mastering the Depths in Tulamben
Our journey began in Tulamben at the beautiful Bali Dive Resort. The first few days were all about preparation and training. We started with on-land presentations, comprehensive safety briefings, and crucial breathwork training to get everyone comfortable and confident in the water.
Next, it was time to dive in—literally. We conducted in-pool training to perfect our unique scuba-assisted modeling technique. This method allows our models to achieve breathtaking, effortless poses underwater while ensuring their safety and comfort.
The true substance of this phase was the transformation. For many, the first entry into the open ocean felt intimidating. We coached participants through mastering their buoyancy, controlling their descent, and learning the non-verbal cues essential for communication in a challenging environment. This intense focus on physical mastery directly translated into the ethereal results we captured. It’s not just about taking a picture; it’s about conquering a natural fear and finding total control in zero gravity, which is a skill everyone developed dramatically by the end of the week.
With our skills honed, we headed to the legendary USS Liberty shipwreck. This historic site provided a dramatic and beautiful backdrop for our photoshoots. Our models brought their A-game, donning intricate mermaid tails, flowing gowns, and unique costumes. It was a magical sight to see everyone's creativity come to life against the backdrop of the sunken ship. The images we captured were truly one-of-a-kind and showcase the incredible talent and professionalism of our participants.
A Cultural and Creative Oasis in Ubud
After an incredible week of diving, modeling, and community building, we traded our fins for walking shoes and headed to the cultural heart of Bali: Ubud. This part of the trip offered a different kind of magic, blending creative exploration with cultural immersion.
Our group explored the famous Monkey Forest, a lush sanctuary teeming with playful monkeys and ancient temples. We also visited various landmarks and had a spectacular photoshoot at a hidden waterfall in a small village, capturing stunning shots that blended the natural beauty of Bali with the artistry of our models.
The absolute highlight of our time in Ubud, however, was a visit to Varuna, an underwater dinner theater show. This experience was unlike anything we've ever done. The show was a feast for the eyes, combining captivating performances with an incredible aquatic setting. And the adventure didn't stop there. After the show, our group had the unique opportunity to dive in the impressive Varuna tank, taking final underwater photos in its stunningly designed environment.
This trip was a perfect blend of high-end creativity and serene cultural discovery. Our participants not only left with incredible portfolios but also with a deeper connection to Bali and to each other. We are so proud of what everyone accomplished!
